Starburst Sham
No Feathers Please

We’re sure that by now, most of you know that regular cotton crops are heavily sprayed with pesticides and that although the cotton is washed and bleached, there are still pesticides in the cotton that you put next to your skin in clothing, and next to your skin when you sleep on cotton sheets.

Now nothing is cooler (temperature-wise and aesthetically) than simple cotton sheets, but simply put, the only cotton that you want next to your skin is organic as it is pesticide-free.

Now that you know that you want organic cotton, we want to jazz it up a bit. Not only is this clean cotton, it has the neatest and sweetest retro design on it that is perfect for hip little girls, or sophisticated and funky women who think outside the typical pillow sham box! The pattern called ‘Starburst’ and although the image shows it on a bed, we would suggest that this sham will turn any standard pillow into a patio pillow, a floor pillow, an office couch pillow, and yes, even a bed sham pillow.

The design is bubblegum pink with dark, dark chocolate brown - circles and squares with ‘bursts’ emanating from them. They look retro-flowery, but also are very reminiscent (for those of you old enough) of the Jetsons! Toss a few of these 200 thread-count shams on a daybed, a summer porch, or a patio swing and see if it also doesn’t enliven any sling chair or beach blanket party!

When the cooler days sneak in, pair this with some white or brown fake fur throws and some 60’s movies and snuggle in to some nostalgia. Of course, if you want the snuggling to be floating on a cloud soft and deep, be sure and stuff this sham with a fluffy, light as air, organic kapok pillow.
