Country French Pork and White Bean Slow Cooker Dinner Delicae’ Pantry
This Slow Cooker Dinner will make good use of an inexpensive boneless pork shoulder roast. I found that cooking without pre soaking the beans leaves them still crunchy after 9 hours in the slow cooker. Take a bit more prep time and pre soak the beans overnight to get great results.
A 3-4 lb boneless pork shoulder roast, a can of diced tomatoes, and 4 Cups of water or low sodium chicken broth are all you need to add to this flavorful mix of dehydrated carrots, corn, sweet potatoes, onions, celery and peas. The spice packet contains minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, parsley and black pepper. All natural of course, notice the ingredients do not include salt, MSG or any other preservative! Adding a cup of white wine gives the meal a distinctly French twist! The 5.5 ounce package serves 8 and leftovers freezer beautifully for another meal.
Add a cup of your favorite white wine (not cooking wine), and top with finely chopped bacon or fresh grated parmesan or Romano cheese. Serve with hot crusty French bread and a cold crisp green salad for a dinner that will satisfy and delight!
