Some people may be aware that the King salmon is also known as Chinook. This is the salmon that is considered the richest and with the most full flavor. This is probably due to this fish having the highest concentration of Omega-3’s compared to other salmon.

The King salmon texture and flavor falls somewhere between the silver and the sockeye. The meat is moist, the texture flaky and the flavor full and not too fishy. This fish cuts into bite-sized pieces and does not fall apart, although you can flake it easily with your fingers for an addition to salads.
