Cold & Flu Essential Oil – Path to Perfect Health

Cold & Flu Essential Oil
Path to Perfect Health

Some people might be tempted to think that using natural essential oils to treat colds and flu is antiquated – something that old wives used in the ‘olden days’. Well, that’s true: the use of essential oils healing properties was proven over the centuries by many wives (young or old!), and is also proven today by copious amounts of scientific research.

Pure Zing loves that these oils are not a ‘pill’ that you pop to alleviate symptoms with the use of harsh synthetic chemicals. Instead, we love that essential oils are all natural and have the ability to get to the source of infection and eradicate it, working with your body’s innate healing ability and all without ‘chemically’ upsetting its delicate balance.

Here are the oils that are in this great blend: Tea Tree, Lemon and Eucalyptus. Sounds simple, huh? But take a look at the strong healing abilities of each of these oils. Singly they are amaZing enough, but put them in combination, and they pack a triple wallop to colds or flu!

Tea Tree has antiviral, antibacterial as well as antifungal properties. It helps soothe and heal sore throats, coughs, congestion and even laryngitis. Another great benefit of Tea Tree is that it bolsters your immune system which can reduce the incidence of fevers, flu, colds and other infectious illnesses. Lemon essential oil is antiseptic, antibacterial with anti-infectious properties. Lemon oil also cools a fever and can be used in a sick room (or any room) to kill virus and bacteria. Eucalyptus also cools a fever but has the additional benefits of relieving muscular aches and pains, easing coughs and respiration by combating inflammation of mucous membranes as well as inflammation of the ear. Eucalyptus is also antibacterial and antiviral and intensifies the benefits of the other two oils in this blend.

Now you should be able to see how this essential oil blend, when rubbed on the throat and chest, and through inhalation of the vapors, can help your body heal itself of congestion, aches, fever, coughs and infection. Easy to use, all you have to do is place a few drops of the blend in the palm of your hand, rub your palms together and then cup your palms over your nose. Relax, and breathe in the aroma for several minutes. Or, add 4 drops to 1 quart of steaming water in a large bowl and with a towel over your head and the bowl, breathe the vapors in for 2-10 minutes. If you prefer a chest rub, add 4drops of the blend to either Miracle ll Lotion or Miracle ll Gel, and rub on your chest, throat and up behind your ears.

This 15 ml bottle may not seem very large, but as you only use a few drops at a time, this little bottle can last and treat several people if need be. If you have ever used the petroleum-based rub that is put on your chest, you will sort of recognize the potent aroma that helps clear your chest and breathing. It doesn’t smell exactly the same, but the comparison tells you that it is aromatic enough to bypass and help relieve the heaviest congestion.

Instead of popping those 24 hours pills and sniffing chemical sprays up your nose when you have a cold or flu, use this oil blend instead. Rather than masking symptoms, this blend literally helps your body to heal itself naturally. When you have a cold or flu, you feel bad enough as it is. Don’t compound your illness with synthetic chemicals, use all natural essential oils that have potent healing capabilities and see if you don’t rest and breathe easier. Zing!
