Approximately 8 ½ by 8-½ -inches, this ‘diary’ is for parents to give to a daycare center, babysitter, and grandparent: any caregiver of your baby. It allows you to see at a glance, what happened with your baby while they are in someone else’s care: saving you time when you pick your child up at the end of a day. Created by two mothers after working with healthcare professionals and childcare providers, the lightweight book covers the important parts of your child’s day: Feedings, B.M’s, Naps, Medications, Activities, plus an area for comments. Under Feedings, the section is broken down into time, solids, and liquids. This is further broken down into breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and dinner. In one glance, you know what your child ate, drank and when. The Nap part of the page shows what time your baby went to sleep, and what time they woke up. Medications can be listed, and the time the medication was given is allotted space in another area of the page. BM’s reveal yes, no and how many. Did they go to the park? Did they play with blocks? Were they happy? These can be noted in the Activities and Comments area. Each page has a place for a date, and one page holds two days worth of information. For caregivers, this book has important contact information on two facing pages: an at a glance emergency reference. The size is right, the page layouts are simple but comprehensive, and everyone has access to the information that they need: quickly and all in one place.
