Sweet and Salt
We were just not prepared to smell and taste what was under this sweet pink and brown cover, tied with twine. We were not prepared to raise eyebrows and smile and close eyes in appreciation of all the culinary possibilities that this blend evoked. But while the sweet-salty idea may seem obvious to some, what is so divine about this blend is that the salt to sweet comparison is taken one step further. Here are the ingredients: salt, dried fruit, citrus peel, baking spices, toasted vanilla bean, crystal-sized dark chocolate nuggets, air-dried grape must and cane sugar. Oh my! Can you taste and sense the possibilities that this 3.5-ounce jar contains? A twist of your fingers in this light and dry blend and a chocolate éclair would sing!
