Sometimes all you want is a simple but perfect green olive. Sometimes, that is all that is needed to uplift and add to a subtle food. This is that olive.

The ingredients are Sevillano olives, oil, water and salt. No spices, no chemicals, no preservatives, just a simple but perfect olive that compliments other foods without shouting about it.

The olives are from the remote Atlas mountain range of Morocco. The climate and rich soil help the ancient olive groves to produce this wonderfully mild, blemish-free olive that slips from its pit easily.

Pale green, this marvelous olive has matured in its brine and is firm and meaty, but not crunchy. Even the smell of the brine is heaven: rich and perfumed with olive oil, not pungent or harsh. The flavor is buttery and mild and is nothing more than the perfect taste of a flawless olive.

This is an olive that would go well with eggs and mild cheeses, light wines and roast chicken. This is an olive that could cause people who wrinkle up their noses at olives to say, ‘So this is what an olive is supposed to taste like! This is good!”

In a 10-ounce hex jar with a gold lid, the label is intricate in scrolls and Moroccan tile designs in brown, green and pale yellows. A striped seal and banner that goes over the lid announces that it is a gourmet import. It is gourmet in its simplicity, ingredients, presentation and flavor.
