If you are a fan of the Rich and Mild Barbeque Sauce and you want a little higher heat quotient sometimes: this is it! Same rich flavor, same great blend of not too sweet, and not too tomatoey to garlic, onion and vinegar, this sauce also has ground chipotle peppers in it. The heat index on this terrific sauce is about an 8 out of 10, but the flavor is so robust and rich, that this is a heat that you can’t beat!

Smooth and thick enough to stay put, this sauce has a slightly more smoky flavor than its milder cousin. The ingredients tell the flavor story: tomato puree, sugar, cider vinegar, honey, dark molasses, salt, brown sugar, pure maple syrup, spices, corn starch, ground chipotle peppers, hot sauce (peppers, vinegar, salt), natural flavors, onion powder, garlic powder, natural caramel color and orange peel.

Some hot barbeque sauces only mission seems to be to burn their way through your mouth and down to your toes: so much heat that the flavor can hardly be found. However, this creation has such great flavor and the heat is managed so well that you get a flavor explosion, followed by a smoky tingle that will make your toes twitch, but not char.
