The owner of this line wanted us to test her extensive foundation selection. Her inability to find a foundation for her own Eastern Armenian/Caucasian light olive complexion led her to develop her entire makeup line. As her business is located in a multi-racial area, she was able to personally develop eighteen shades of foundation to suit any woman’s complexion, by testing various shades on hundreds of willing volunteers.

There were three of us at the table: a Latina brunette, a strawberry blonde Cuban and a highlighted Caucasian. Whether it was our complexion shade or our skin types, we each compared notes on the difficulty of finding a foundation that looked natural, worked with our coloring, didn’t slide off our faces in heat or humidity, and was easy to use.

Armed with Kabuki brushes, mirrors and each other’s critical assessment, we each discovered our personal shade. Each of us commented on how silky the texture of the powder was, how easily it went on, how even our skin tone looked, and how light it was on our faces. There were no edges, color creasing or oil. There was no heavy or made-up look. The look and feel were weightless!

Each of our faces looked like we had wonderfully even and flawless skin, without foundation! Several words were repeated: light, natural looking, perfect and even.

The owner had given us the trick to application. Tap some powder from the jar into the lid. Dip the brush in and then tap the end of the handle on the countertop, brush pointing to the ceiling. This settles the powder into the brush. Now, pouf the powder in little places all over your face and in small circles, buff the powder into your face. The result is an even and flawless look without any indication that you are even wearing foundation. It looks like your skin… only perfect!

What are the ingredients? Finely, finely ground minerals from the earth. That’s all! Nothing else is added, and the minerals are actually good for your skin. Your skin breathes, doesn’t get clogged, and is not dried out or irritated by chemicals. Each color is yellow or pink based, and there are two neutrals when you can’t figure out which you are!

Did we like this loose mineral foundation? All three of us loved it in every way! The other two women have applied makeup professionally and commented on how this foundation would work for any color or type of skin.
