If your lifestyle is dinners out, board meetings, symphonies and TV appearances, then you want to give this foundation brush a try. Well, whether you have TV appearances or not, your skin can look celebrity flawless if you use this brush to apply your mineral foundation.
Made of the softest and finest Badger bristles, this brush applies slightly more foundation for a ‘perfect’ look without being cakey or clogging pores. The handle is just over 3-inches long, while the bristles are 1-inch high by 1 ½-inches wide. This smaller brush head concentrates the foundation more than the Fabuki Brush, but applies your mineral foundation just as evenly and smoothly.
On a recent trip when a few of us wanted to cut down on the number of brushes that we packed, this brush worked well for not only foundation, but for blush as well. The smaller brush head size allowed for accurate placement of blush and even a quick fluff of mineral veil.
To apply mineral foundation evenly, shake some foundation into the lid of the foundation container. Swirl the brush in the small amount of minerals and then ‘tap, tap, tap’ the end of the handle of the brush on the countertop. This tapping ‘settles’ the minerals further into the bristles which results in the foundation being released slowly, rather than in the first brush stroke. As the bristles are shorter and the head of this brush is flatter, foundation is applied a little more thickly and is laid onto the skin more firmly.
When we say thickly and firmly, please don’t think that your skin looks like a mask! Your skin looks natural, just more flawless than foundation applied with the fluffier Fabuki brush.
