This little 1-ounce, pump-top bottle contains a special serum. The serum is unlike any other that we have used. It is not oily. It is not thick. It is not a heavy cream. It is almost a red brown color and is not quite a liquid and not quite a gel. The fragrance is also very unusual. It first smells almost faintly like lemon meringue…and then the vision fades when all that remains is the barest hint of exotic spices.
When you apply this serum it smoothes on easily, then becomes just the slightest bit sticky…and then dries, leaving your skin ultra soft and smooth. Like the Refreshing Mist, product in this skin care line, each of us feels that our skin was left with just the hint of a barrier on it: the lightest and sheerest of protective and healing ingredients. There is absolutely NO greasy feel, and yet our skin is soft. We like that our skin looks moist…without a shine and without any heavy feeling. This serum is light, but oh so effective!
The main ingredient that this serum is named for is Camu Camu extract. A tropical rainforest plant, Camu Camu has a super concentrated source of naturally-occurring vitamin C which is a well-known antioxidant, free radical scavenger and promoter of collagen formation. Along with the other tropical rainforest ingredients, this serum stimulates skin elasticity, firmness and regeneration. Isn’t that what we all want?
The ingredients are structured water, Camu Camu Extract, Sangre de Drago Extract, Uña de Gato Extract, Suma Extract, Stevia Extract, Esphinera santa Extract, Quinoa Extract (Chenopodium), Algae Extract Aloe Vera Gel, Vitamin C Ester, Vitamin E Assitate, Lecithin, DL-Panthenol, Retinyl Palmitate, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Carrot Oil Extract, Sodium ascorbate, Melissa Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Xanthan Gum, Pectin, Rosemary, Oregano, Cinnamon Leaf, Lavender and Thyme Extract.
We loved that this light formulation absorbed right away. We loved that it was not oily and we loved that we could feel just a hint of it still on our skin: working to protect, soothe, rejuvenate and repair! Use this light and lovely (but effective!) serum in the morning and at night. Just a few drops are all you need as this is concentrated and goes a long way. We are impressed with all the skin care products in this line…but we all agree that anything that will promote collagen and firmness is a treasure that is destined to become a favorite!
