Love at first bite! Probably the most decadent, richest chocolate brownie I have ever eaten.

It’s Brownie Time! Being a product reviewer does have its benefits, especially in the sweets department. So far, Chunkie Dunkies have impressed all of us at PureZing. We didn’t think it could get any better, but it did with the Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownies. Like the cookies, the brownies never go into an oven. The box of 6 arrives at your door, slightly frozen, ready to eat if you choose. I prefer the brownies to be thawed out. This way you get to experience the rich, gooie, chocolately chunky texture with the perfect amount of sweetness. The price: $7.99, without shipping.

A little background. I discovered Chunkie Dunkies at the Natural Product Expo West in Anaheim. I stopped by the booth, however was in a rush, and not too impressed at first blush. Long story short, I grabbed the chocolate chip cookie, ate it, and it was by far the tastiest chocolate chip cookie I had ever eaten. The scrumptious texture was that of the best cookie dough on the planet. Except this cookie never had to go in the oven and was meant to be eaten raw, as all Chunkie Dunkies are.

I called the founder of Chunkie Dunkies, Dina Lauro, who also happens to be a Raw Gourmet Chef and teaches Vegan/Raw cooking at Hypocrites Health Institute in Florida. Established in 2011, Dina told me she wanted a healthier snack to enjoy. Something that satisfied her but that also was delicious and fit into her Vegan lifestyle. VOILA! Chunkie Dunkies was born. I then ordered off the website and after delivery, the reviewing began.

So now we are on to reviewing the Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownie. Shaped like a traditional brownie, tasting like an Ooie, gooie, rich, nutty, chocolate eruption overload. Need I say anymore. This was the verdict from the entire team at PureZing.

The fact of the matter, there are only 6 ingredients in the brownies. SIX INGREDIENTS! That it!: raw walnuts, *medjool dates, vegan chocolate chips, hint of agave, sea salt (*organic). Perhaps that is why there is such incredible flavor. Six ingredients. Such a simple a recipe delivering such incredible taste, with just a hint of sweetness. Check out a label on any other boxed brownie. We did. That’s why we are reviewing Chunkie Dunkies Raw Brownies.

Sometimes the word healthy/Vegan/Organic/RAW gives food a bad name because healthy usually means flavor less. SO NOT THE CASE with all the Chunkie Dunkies. Your taste buds are telling you that you are eating the most decadent dessert on the planet.

The only bad thing is you won’t be able to stop eating them. Enjoy. We are...

CONS: Can’t stop eating them. Soy Lecithin is found in the vegan chocolate chips. Some people choose to stay away from Soy Lecithin. For the Chocolate Chunk Fudge Brownie, I will overlook this tiny indiscretion.
