End result: It works.

Right now, as you read this article, take a moment and check in with your neck and shoulders. How do they feel? Are they sore? That is why I was thrilled to review the 2oz pump bottle of Neck and Shoulder Rub by Natures Inventory ($15.95). A simple yet powerful formulation of 4 ORGANIC essential oils: organic jojoba oil, organic ginger essential oil, organic eucalyptus essential oil, organic vetiver essential oil. But first, I had to put it to the test on myself to see if it worked. So, I am going to do things a little different in this review. I want to give you my testimonial first, before I tell you what the ingredients do. Because, that’s what I did. I used the product FIRST, before I did any research. I didn’t want to be swayed by the findings and then think it was mind over matter.

First thing, I followed the directions and shook the bottle and then pumped out 3 to 4 squirts of the oil. At first blush, I wasn’t too thrilled with the initial scent of the product. I thought, oh well. Gotta be done. I then rubbed the oil on my left shoulder and left side of my neck. To be honest, I didn’t expect much, even though I believe in the power of essential oils and aromatherapy. Right away I felt an immediate gentle warming sensation. I thought, OK, whatever, must be the ginger, and then I went back to my work at the computer. I also noticed I had a greater range of motion. I noticed I was feeling really grounded and solid. Focused. On top of things. Heck, I even started to enjoy the fragrance.

Jojoba Oil is known to be the rejuvenator of damaged skin and muscles and for its immediate absorption into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Because of this, Jojoba oil is considered a great carrier oil to deliver healing benefits other essential oils possess. Ginger Essential Oil creates a slight warming sensation and coupled with its anti-inflammatory components, gingerols and ZINGibain, addresses the swelling of your joints. More good news is that the gingerols and ZINGibain suppress that substance which triggers pain and inflammation. Eucalyptus oil penetrates deep into the skin (especially with the Jojoba Oil as a carrier) and has anti-inflammatory properties that help you get rid of muscle and joint pain as well as helps to increase circulation. Eucalyptus also reduces stiffness which comes with arthritis or due to wear and tear of muscles. Now the Vetivar. Vetivar has a heavy, earthy fragrance similar to patchouli with a touch of lemon. Vetiver oil is psychologically grounding, calming and stabilizing. Vetiver may help when coping with stress and to recover from emotional trauma and shock. Also has warming properties as well as know to be a sedative to the nervous system.
