Toss these blends together and put them into marked jars. Keep them in your cupboard to spice up just about anything at a moment’s notice.
INGREDIENTS:
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried marjoram
3 teaspoons dried oregano
½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Sea salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Mix and store in sealed jar in dark cupboard. Can add 1/8 cup of herb blend to ½ lb. room temperature softened butter. Let flavors blend for at least 4 hours.
Place in covered container and refrigerate. May be frozen.
Use butter to saute with, toss into hot pasta or rice, baste roast chicken or turkey, or add to vegetables and stews.
