GARLIC AND HERB BLEND

Toss these blends together and put them into marked jars. Keep them in your cupboard to spice up just about anything at a moment’s notice.

INGREDIENTS:

1/8 cup dried dillweed
¼ cup dried chives
¼ cup dried basil
¼ cup dried parsley
1 Tablespoon dried thyme
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Mix and store in a sealed jar in dark cupboard. Add 1 Tablespoon to ½ lb. of soft butter and slather on French bread before baking. Add to extra-virgin olive oil and baste steaks or chicken on the grill. Add to homemade mayonaise and use on wraps, in potato salad and in devilled eggs.
