An Asian version of guacamole, this dip is AH! So good!! When you have brought Sushi home for a quick meal, save some of the Wasabi and pickled ginger for this recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ripe avocados
1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
½ teaspoon wasabi (or less if you can’t take the heat!)
2 Tablespoons chopped cilantro
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 tomato, peeled and finely minced
2 teaspoons pickled ginger, minced
DIRECTIONS:
In a bowl, mix first four ingredients, leaving some small chunks of avocado for texture.
Add in the rest of the ingredients gently and cover and let marinate for at least half an hour in the refrigerator.
Serve with tortilla chips, fried flour tortillas, wonton wrappers quickly fried in oil and drained or Jicama sticks. |
