Make Your Own Scented Bath Oils: start with a base and then add some essential oils to suit your mood. Making your own scented bath oils is easy! If you want the best oil, ask a pharmacist or herbal shop for Turkey Red Oil. This oil disperses easily in water (it is a treated castor oil). Otherwise, get sunflower, almond or avocado oil to use as your base oil.
For every 2 ½ -ounces of base oil, you will add 2-2 ½ Tablespoons of essential oils.
Here are some essential oil blend recipes. Pick a few that appeal to you and make them up in pretty bottles. Let them ‘steep’ for two weeks after mixing - then add 1 Tablespoon of your blend to a bath and soak in the fragrance!
