This sauce is delicious served over poached pears, bread pudding or ice cream.
Makes 1/2 cup
INGREDIENTS:
3 Tbsp white wine vinegar
3 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1 Tbsp corn syrup
3 Tbsp cold butter, cut in small pieces
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 Tbsp heavy cream
DIRECTIONS:
In medium saucepan cook vinegar, Sweet Lavender and corn syrup over high heat, whisking occasionally, until the volume is reduced by half and mixture has a syrupy consistency.
Beat in the butter, piece by piece, allowing each piece to melt before adding the next, whisking constantly. Add vanilla and heavy cream. Remove from heat and serve.
To reheat, microwave on high in 20 second intervals until heated through. |
