Around Valentine’s Day, love is in the air, but chocolate is in our dreams and cravings!
If you want rich and sinful - but want it without effort - this is the recipe for you!
Pot de Crème is an elegant, intensely chocolate dessert that usually takes a lot of time to prepare. Not anymore! If you want to easily impress your love or guests, whip up this Purely decadent dessert in about five minutes (needs to chill minimum 3-6 hours).
Organic chocolate bars may be used, just chop and measure. The better the chocolate, the better and richer the result!
Serves 4-6
INGREDIENTS:
¾ cup organic milk or cream (or combination)
1 organic egg
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
6 ounces chocolate bits.
DIRECTIONS:
Put all ingredients (except milk/cream) in a blender (not food processor)
Heat milk/cream to just boiling. Pour hot milk over ingredients in blender. Cover and blend for exactly 45 seconds. Do not over blend!
Divide mixture into 4-6 pot de crème cups, demitasse cups or small bowls. Chill overnight or for 3-6 hours till firm. (Do not cover till completely cooled).
Serve with dollop of real whipped cream if desired.
Pure Zing serves this with tiny demitasse spoons to make this rich dessert last! |
