These CHive pARMesan biscuits are CH-ARM-ing!
Makes approximately 2 dozen
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan
¼ cup, plus 2 Tablespoons fresh chives, chopped finely
1 cup whole milk
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Mix the flour, baking powder and sea salt. With a fork or pastry cutter, work in the olive oil in small amounts till crumbly.
Stir in Parmesan and chives.
Add the milk and stir only until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
Put dough on lightly floured surface and knead thoroughly to mix the dough.
With a floured roller, roll out the dough till it’s ½ inch thick.
Using various shapes and sizes of floured biscuit cutters, cut out biscuits and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Brush each shape with butter and bake 12-15 minutes till golden.
Serve with garlic butter if desired.
