Guess What They Do To Your Table Salt! by Page Remick © Page Remick – All Rights reserved
In the early 1920's a kiln-drying process for salt, utilizing temperatures above 400 degrees, was invented. High temperature's dramatically alter the chemical makeup of salt. In the process, vital minerals are altered and destroyed. Here's some of the chemicals added to processed salt: Tri-calcium Phosphate, dextrose ( a type of sugar) and Silica Aluminate. As most salt in it's natural state is gray or pinkish in color, it probably never occurred to you that your table salt is bleached. A friend pointed out that many people with manic-depressive disorders are prescribed Lithium, which is a trace mineral in unprocessed salt. Here are just some of the minerals UNprocessed salt contains: Calcium, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Manganese, Magnesium and Zinc. According to the Salt Institute, Americans consume an average of just over 400 pounds of salt a year! Pure salt is an essential element in the diet of not only humans, but also for animals. But, while you ponder this, do me a favor, pass the sea salt please! Want To Be Healthy But Don’t Have The Time?
