Politics in Healing: The Suppression & Manipulation of American Medicine by Daniel Haley Reviewed by Douglas Harold Crofford Let me start by saying I knew Dr. William Fredrick Koch very well, went to Brazil in 1962 to spend time with him, and brought back to Canada some of his formula, which was used to cure a number of people of cancer. I also knew many of those valiant doctors who used his treatment to cure their patients of various diseases, cancers, polio, heart conditions and many more. Every doctor who used his material was ridiculed by the medical establishment as a quack and a charlatan; some had their licenses to practice lifted, while at the same time they had cured hundreds of people of incurable conditions. I met Dr. Andrew C. Ivy, knew of his research on Kebiozen and in later years met the lady who had recorded and kept the data on that work. Met the son who had taken his mother to see Dr. Ivy after she had been given up to die with advanced cancer, she was cured and lived for many more years. Dr. David H. Arnott of London, Ontario Canada, who worked very closely with Dr. Koch, became a close friend of mine, after he supplied Dr. William Setka, of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, with Glyoxylide (Dr. Kock's formula), which cured me of inoperable cancer. I have purchased some of the devices invented by Dr. Robert Beck, described by Haley in his book, and they work as described. I am familiar with the work of the department of agriculture, Province of British Columbia, Canada, in researching the use of Dr. Kocks formula, for use in treating animals and it worked, it cured them of all diseases. Many Vets were excited about this; one I came to know was a Dr. Fred Barten, who over a number of years had successfully treated dozens of animals. I hope that those who read Daniel Haley's book "Politics on Healing" will realize what an immense amount of careful research went into producing this works. I was sent the book by a lady who knows of my abiding interest in health care, on the basis that I promised to read the chapter on DMSO. When I opened the book and looked at the titles of the chapters and saw the one that referred to Dr. Kock, I read it first, as I was fully aware of the Kock story in detail. Because of the accuracy of the data in it and the Ivy story and the Beck story and on DMSO, all of which I knew about, one can accept that the rest of the book would have been written with the same degree of integrity, and should be accepted as true. Haley should be recognized as having produced a document of inestimatable value in bringing to light the massive corruption of the medical establishment, the pharmaceutical industry and the government agencies that are supposed to protect use from harmful medical products. May every reader become active in pressuring the politicians in Canada and the United States to clean up this mess through new legislation. Douglas Crofford of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am a former C.E.O. of one of Canada's Provincial Health/ Medical Insurance Programs, Served as the Vic-Chairman of the only Judicial Commission Enquiry into the patterns of doctors practices in their offices and in hospitals and nursing homes and last but not least I was the C.E.O. of one of Canada's Cancer Treatment and Research programs.
