We couldn’t be more pleased: dirt at the doorway, drips outside the bathroom, sticky stuff on the stairway: it all came right off the hardwood floor! Just like this owner and his wife have proven in tests, cleaners don’t have to be chemical, synthetic and toxic to clean!
The ingredients in this great hardwood floor cleaner are: filtered water, vinegar, a cream base of vegetable oils and beeswax, stearic acid from soybeans, a vegetable based emulsifying wax, liquid germall plus borax, xanthum gum from corn sugar, a blend of pure essential oils and a vegetable based surfactant cleaning agent.
The fragrance is crisp vinegar softened by eucalyptus and lemon oil. Fresh smelling, this cleaner really does the job! It lifted the dirt and grime right off the hardwood, didn’t leave any streaky residue and just the faintest, clean fragrance was left behind. For those of you who prefer cleaners without any fragrance, this product is available unscented.
We didn’t have to scrub, we didn’t have to work hard, and this all-natural product did the work for us. No rinsing, and no oil of any kind, left the floors shiny and clean without being slippery.
A large 32-ounce, easy to grip white plastic bottle with a spray top, allows you to spot clean. For big jobs, unscrew the top and pour ½ cup into one gallon of hot water. We only had a medium job so we put just a little hot water in the sink, sprayed about ten pumps of this into the water and then dipped our terry cloth mop cover in. We squeezed it out, put it on our large, flat mop, and went all over the floor. Halfway through, we turned the cover on the mop and kept on going!
The mop cover had dirt all over it…and the floor was clean. This not only gets the dirt up, it keeps it on the mop, rather than just redistributing it all over the floor.
