Many of us have become aware of the dangers of synthetic fragrances and perfumes. We won’t belabor the toxicity of man-made, chemical based fragrances; all we’ll do is extol the virtues of this lovely line of body perfume oil that is made from plant distilled essential oils.
To complement and enhance the essential oils, this supplier has placed the oils in a base of Jojoba and fractionated coconut oil, with just a touch of vitamin E. Each of the six perfume oils comes in a gold patterned glass bottle with a jewel studded cap and applicator rod.
Each fragrance is in a different colored velvet draw-string bag that can be safely placed in a handbag, suitcase, briefcase or tote. The cap screws on tightly and the applicator rod firmly seals the bottle so that the oils remain fresh and do not spill.
We love the name Temple Blends as it not only invokes the ideal placement of the oils, but it conjures images of far-away, sacred places with rare, perfumed essences. The lavishly exotic presentation of these 2 ½ -inch high bottles complements the complexity of each blend.
Our team has been able to sample the Nag Champa blend and the Refreshing/Stimulating blend.
The Refreshing/Stimulating blend is light enough for a young girl, but is fresh as a summer day for a grown woman: lemony with just the hint of spicy lushness that Bergamot imparts. Use it to lighten your mood, or just enjoy the sunny and not too sweet scent. We liked that the final finish smells like spicy, warm skin in the sunshine and fresh air.
Nag Champa is complex enough for an evening out: Rose Geranium, Jasmine, Vanilla, Juniper and Patchouli are as exotic as the beautiful bottle that it comes in. This blend is heady, romantic and decidedly feminine. Sweet, yes, but the subtle notes of warmth and spice give it intrigue. Just the lightest touch of the applicator and you are wrapped in fragrance. This is for candlelight and star-lit evenings…any time of year.
The other fragrances are Sensuous, Energizing and Sweet Dreams. Each can be used a body perfume, and yet each has the additional essential oil benefits that their names imply. Completely vegan, complex and outrageously affordable, our Zingy recommendation would be to indulge in several….or all of them!
