Don’t be put off by the name of this cleanser. It is one of our favorites! This is the most incredible cleanser that we have ever used as it also exfoliates without using any beads or abrasives.
How does it do this? By using marine ingredients that ‘melt’ impurities away. This cleanser is for daily use for those with oily, oily-balanced or acne prone skin. For those with balanced to dry skin, use it weekly for deep pore cleansing. Men can even use this as a shave emollient.
The primary ingredient of this toffee-colored marine-based cleanser is red algae extract. Filled with vitamins, minerals and cell membrane building ingredients, your skin actually benefits from washing!
Other key ingredients that help to deep clean gently without abrasives or stripping are Laminaria and Fucus. Laminaria, an algae that is only found in the ocean in the springtime is iodine-rich, extremely moisturizing and regulates sebum production. It stimulates cell regeneration and protects delicate skin. Fucus is a brown algae and an excellent moisturizing agent. As it leaves a film on the skin, Fucus is a protective agent against external aggressors. The iodine and bromine in Fucus are antiseptic and disinfecting agents.
Essential oils of Tea Tree, rosemary, sage, lavender, peppermint and cypress leave your face tingling and rejuvenated. The fragrance of the oils is as invigorating as the way this product makes your skin feel: clean and fresh. Additional nourishing ingredients are Vitamin E, multifruit extract, natural smectite clay, oat amino acids, jojoba oil and safflower oil. A new generation emulsifier, sorbitan olivate (from olives) contains high amounts of moisturizing lipids and protects skin from UV rays.
