Bergamot is one of my favorite single-note fragrances and even though Patchouli is added to it in this Salt Body Scrub, I am not disappointed as this combination makes it seem even spicier and sultrier than on its own. The proof is in the pudding, or actually, by the fact that the jar is almost empty! This Bergamot Patchouli Scrub is in an oval jar of 12-ounce proportions (which you already know I am grateful for!), and the simple, elegant label with curly-cues and black writing is a nice complement to the creamy-white color of the oiled salts that you can see through the clear plastic jar.
Even with the jar almost empty, there is still a little puddle of oil at the bottom, evidence that the creator has not skimped on the fragrant and moisturizing element of salt scrubs.
The salts, which are premium sea salts as well as Dead Sea salts, are not faint of heart and do a good scrubbing job without melting on the job. A lovely way to experience the benefits of the salts and oils would be to scrub with them…and then immerse yourself in a steaming tub and literally soak up all the benefits, as well as the softening qualities of Apricot kernel oil and Avocado oil.
When the salts have been washed away, the heady, spicy Bergamot Patchouli fragrance remains to moisturize, soften and enchant. An hour later, the fragrance is just barely detectable…and so I freshen it up by scrubbing just my hands. Now I can keep reviewing while thoroughly enjoying the fragrant benefits of my job. For anyone who loves spicy and sultry while getting soft, you’ll love this scrub. For those who care more about the health benefits, the Dead Sea salts have antibacterial qualities that can help detoxify the body and renew and soften the skin. A lovely combination for any body!
